'CTRL + X: Dance solos'

"I'm currently head producer and curator of this project: 'CTRL+X: Solos de Danza'. At this first edition,  we invited four LGBT+ performers to devour 'dance solos' that they had to watch and then choose one from a list/menú of videos we previously made for them. This solos, for one reason or another, pointed to a margin/center relation in the history of performing arts. This project is made form the margins of a south country, with a pretty low budget, and has no intentions to make a deconstruction of dance history. Instead, we are working in between the lines that appears for the personal stories of each one of the performers, to see how the hegemonic dance practices made/constructed their desires and bodies. We proposed them to literally 'eat' the languages and signs that comes form those centers (a practiced we learned from the 'Antropófagos', at Brasil), as a way to face the simbolic colonisation. We have non binary/trans south american bodies devouring plays that comes from cis/hegemonic centres and creating new, re-territorialized plays."
