ABSTRACT

ORCHESTRATING SPACES is a performative search and meditation on human ways of belonging related to the geographical and cultural borders within which we live.
As a Filipino-American and an Italian we find constant dialogue in our diversity.
The workshop collects community-specific experience, allowing participants time and a safe space to reflect on the multiplicity of their societal roles.
Abitare in Italian means “living” but also suggests behavior, clothing and the intimacy of a
home: a place in which humans create a sense of belonging. It can therefore be said that the construction of the house supports the construction of identity.
